Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: 6 May 2026

PassMyExams is a free educational website. We try to collect as little information about you as possible. This page explains exactly what happens when you use the site.

Who runs this site?

PassMyExams is run independently by an individual operator in the United Kingdom as a free educational resource. To get in touch, please use the “Contact & Feedback” box at the bottom of the homepage.

What we do not do

What is stored on your device

To make the site useful as a revision tool, we store a small amount of information in your browser using localStorage. This stays on your device, never leaves your browser, and is not sent to us or to any third party.

You can clear this data at any time by clicking the “Reset Progress” button in any subject sidebar, by clearing browser data for this site in your browser settings, or by using your browser’s private/incognito mode.

This kind of storage is treated as “strictly necessary” under the UK’s Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) because the site cannot deliver the progress-tracking feature you have asked for without it. We do not use any non-essential storage and we do not use any cookies.

Donations (Stripe)

If you choose to make a donation, the “Donate” buttons take you to a checkout page hosted by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited. Stripe is the data controller for any payment data you enter on their site. Their privacy notice is published at stripe.com/privacy. You must be 18 or over to donate.

Google Fonts (Maths and A-Level Physics sections)

The Maths and A-Level Physics sections load typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Loading a font from Google sends your IP address and the page you are on to Google. Google is the data controller for that interaction. We are working towards self-hosting these fonts so this no longer happens.

Contact form

The contact box at the bottom of the homepage is a simple mailto: link. When you click “Send Feedback”, your default email app opens with a draft message. Nothing is sent to us until you press send in your email app. If you do send a message, we (the site operator, in the United Kingdom) receive an email containing whatever you chose to include — typically a name (optional), an email address (optional) and the message itself. We use that information only to reply to you, and we delete the email when it is no longer needed (typically within 30 days). The lawful basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

Children’s privacy

This site is aimed at students preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams, many of whom are under 18. We have built it to be private by default: no accounts, no tracking, no profiling, no advertising, and only essential local storage. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before using the contact form or making any donation.

Your rights

Because we store almost no information about you, there is little to exercise rights against. You always have the right to:
